Placements and Internships

  • I did my internship at MDRA with a stipend of Rs, 10,000.
  • The usual internships are offered in analytics, finance, and marketing with the average spend around Rs.10,000 per month.
  • The final placement packages offered around Rs. 8-9 lakhs per annum and the roles are majorly in analytics, market research, and finance.
  • Some key companies visited this year include Barclays, Deshaw, Dunhumby, EXL, ANZ Bank, etc.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • Infrastructure is not fancy however almost all facilities are met as the department is a part of South Campus, DU. 

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Eligibility criteria for joining the Department of Business Economics, Delhi University, [DBE DU] Delhi is passing the 10th in a stream of maths.
  • The students have to clear CAT exam.
  • The cutoff is around 90%.

Academics and Faculty

  • Good teachers having enough scope to help in a research field.
  • The method of teaching, however, is not good.

Fees and Scholarships

  • This is the best part, being a department in the University of Delhi, the fee for the entire course is around Rs. 25,000 only.

Clubs and Associations

  • A number of clubs and associations in Department of Business Economics, Delhi University, [DBE DU] Delhi both for professional/technical people and cultural activities are present and a student might find ample of opportunities of indulging with them.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The shortlist for admissions is on the basis of CAT scores, followed by Group Discussion(GD) and Personal Interview(PI). The cutoff last year for shortlisting for GD-PI rounds was 95.8 percentile(GEN), and previously used to hover around 93 percentile.
