Placements and Internships
- The college provides most of the opportunities on campus internships.
- I got an opportunity to grab one around Rs 7200 and also inter college internship opportunities are the with IIT's and other private colleges.
- The key companies are Accenture, Mahindra, Infosys, Cadbury, TCS Major mechanicals firms from Ludhiana.
- The average salary figure goes around Rs 3.8 to 4 Lakhs per annum.
- The highest salary figure goes around Rs 10 Lakhs pe annum in Mechanical/Production and percentage of students getting placed was around 80% at GNDEC.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 5 hostels at GNDEC.
- Three for boys and 2 for girls.
- The Fee per semester is Rs 11000.
- Around Rs 2000-2500 for the mess per month may be added to this.
- PG,s are easily available within 2-3 km radius of college they cost around Rs 3000-4000 per person.
- One time meal may cost you around 40-50 Rs. Food is well cooked and also Mess Members Committee is been made to resolve the issues over food and Menu are made according to students need.
- College was set up in 1956, still the buildings are well maintained separate blocks, MBA wings are there well-equipped with all the modern facilities.
- Libraries are quiet student friendly,also department libraries are there. Fully WiFi enabled campus,with awesome speed so no issue of connectivity at GNDEC Ludhiana.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria are to be +2 Science Passed With Min 60%.
- A student must have appeared in JEE MAIN entrance examination with a valid rank. The admission is reserved 85% for the candidates of Punjab & 15% for the rest of the states.
- If any of the seats undergo inapplicable in the reserved category are again opened for the unreserved ones.
- The general typical cutoff for BTech electrical is up to 95000 AIR for online counselling Where as the On the spot round fluctuates up to 1-1,50,000 AIR to get into GNDEC Ludhiana.
Academics and Faculty
- Classes start at 8 a.m. Sharp and are up to 2-4 p.m. including the lunch break at GNDEC.
- Project labs are well settled newly reformed labs have been set up in college in to provide better infrastructure.
- Particular time slots are given for project works. Sessional Exams are conducted for semester's performance analysis and also internals are awarded according to one's score.

- For Day Scholars the course fee is around Rs 85000-90000 and for hostelers, it is about Rs 1.30 to 1.40 Lakhs including all the facilities of Mess, Hostel Lodging, Securities etc.
- SGPC Scholarship option is available for Sikh candidates, Minority Scholarships Also fee rebate to SC/ST candidates Around about 5-8 students from a class generally gets a scholarship at GNDEC.

- Every Department has its own student society like EESS for electrical.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria is 12th pass in science stream for getting into Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. JEE entrance exam is required. The cut-off is typically high.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : A student with PCM subjects in higher secondary schools passed with 60% aggregate is eligible to apply for technical courses. Beside this, when I had applied there were AIEEE tests to qualify, which is now changed to IIT examinations. So if you score well in the competitive exam within required cut off set up by the college, the admission into college will be successful.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : labs are well equipped and one of the finest laboratories that an engineering college should have. The library is also well maintained but theproblemm is with the staff
