Placements and Internships
- I'm recruited as a intern in one network. I successfully completed 2 rounds. Till now internship is not started. It will start in the month of August. Till now i didn't receive any stipend.
- The famous software campany MICROSOFT visits our college, and other companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSISS, ACCENTURE and many other visit our college. Satya Nadella, alumni of our college is the CEO of Microsoft & Rajeev Suri is the CEO of Nokia.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are more than 20 hostels in our college. Hostel fees depends upon the type of rooms we are selecting. It varies for normal room, ac room, single with ac room, & double with ac & non-ac room.
- There are many PG's near the college area, there are many apartments also, it costs nearly Rs 10000/- per month.
- Food is good. Food court is there hostel mess is there & cafeteria is also there. North meal costs Rs 60/- & south Meal costs Rs 40/- Class rooms are excellent.
- They have all the facilities. Labs are well equipped. Library is also excellent. In the library we can issue 2 books at a time. We also have very good wifi connection. We are provided with 20GB free internet.
Academics and Faculty
- Usually we'll be having half day class. If we have lab then we'll be having full day class. We have 2 sessional exams which carries 15 marks each, 5 assignments each carrying 4 marks and end semester exam which is out of 50 marks.
- Method of teaching-Quality of teaching is good, they'll tell us which book to refer, they explain everything.
- Overall experience is excellent. We get to know many things. We can join in any clubs.
Fees and Scholarships
- For general category fees is Rs 2,75,000/-per annum.
- In manipal institute of technology scholarship is available for academy of general education students (SAGES).
- Some 50 students get this scholarship.
- Yes loan is needed for some students. We can get it from syndicate bank, canara bank and SBI.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : MIT has a separate entrance exam which follows similar question pattern as JEE Mains with a total of 200 question to be solved in 2 hours. The diffiulty level of these questions is below JEE Mains and covers basics of all subjects. One mark is rewarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking. The typical Cutoff for IT is around 150 marks. While the questions arent very difficult it is a race against time to solve as many questions correctly within the time limit.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must get above 65% in 12th boards and had to give the MU OET 2018 entrance exam. A score of 140/200 is eligible for IT.
Academics & Faculty : The Information and communication dept. of MIT Manipal has a bunch of very experienced faculties. The importance of practical lab sessions is much greater than regular classes. There are a few options for subjects known as program electives.
