Academics & Faculty : Established with the inception of Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar in 2008, the Department of Mechanical Engineering was re-organized as the School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering (SMMEE) in 2010 to encourage interdisciplinary research.
