Placements and Internships
- Placements are a joke here.
- The placements are centralized and take place at Noida campus.
- Huge crowd and chaos.
- The package you will get will be poor and the profile would be even poorer.
- Biotech students have been placed in pharma industry as Medical representatives. Not a single student was placed in the core industry.
- Most of us are placed as salesman in companies like Lifecell and Cryobanks.
- I wish I could give a rating lower than 1.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Infrastructure is just superb. You would love to stay here. The hostels are well equipped and spacious.
- The hostel fee is Rs. 55,000 per year excluding mess fee.
- The mess charges come around Rs. 3,000 per month.
- The food is nutritious but you will get bored with it as is the case with any hostel food.
- WI-FI is very good, fast and free.
- The classrooms are comfortable and air-conditioned.
- Labs have the necessary equipment, though nothing to boast of.
- Dining hall is huge and good.
- The canteen is good too, not very costly and has a diverse menu.
- The library is very good, very well stocked and beautiful.
- Overall, I can say that only good thing about Amity is the infrastructure.
Academics and Faculty
- The syllabus is not very industry oriented.
- The teaching Faculty is really good.
- College is very strict in terms of attendance.
- one has to maintain atleast 75% attendance in each subject.
- In fact, college is serious about two things only, attendance and fees.
- OHP and power point presentations are used for teaching.
Fees and Scholarships
- The college fee is very HIGH.
- And it keeps increasing 5% each year.
- The tuition fee is more than Rs. 1.5 lakh per year.
- Scholarships are available for meritorious students only.
- Taking loan to study here would be a stupid decision.
Clubs and Associations
- Lots of events take place round the year.
- Amiphoria is the annual fest and many events are organized during Amiphoria. It takes place in the month of February.
- The sports fest Sangathan is also held in the month of October.
- Many sports events are held, football, tennis and badminton are the prominent ones.
- Life in college is great. You will enjoy it for four years.
