Placements and Internships
- I'm still in 2nd year now, so haven't been to any internships yet.
- Yes, placements happen quite well here. Key companies like Mercedes ford also comes here to recruit.
- Average salary for mechanical is around Rs 3 to 4 lakhs per annum.
- Alumni are quite supportive to the college. In fact, most of the board of directors are alumnus of NIE
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Hostels for boys are not good, fee is Rs 6000 per month. For girls, its really good and its also available at Rs 6000 per month.
- Lots of PGs are available outside. Price ranging from Rs 5000 to Rs 6000 per month including food.
- There are good places for food. Each meal costs around Rs 40 to 50.
- Classrooms are quite well and being rebuilt. WiFi is available and is quite fast. Library is well equipped. Labs are great.
Academics and Faculty
- Class timings are not same every day. But it will be with in 7:30 am to 5.15 pm. Not many assignments are given, supports lots of projects and competitions like Supra , FSAE, baja etc. Exams of mechanical are the toughest.
- Quality of mechanical is the best. But other branches arnt that good. They use modern tech like digital teaching systems, and the teaching is done mostly on application level. Other activities like fest, etc are not so well.
- Overall, its quite good but a little boring.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fee: Rs 18,000 per sem if from kcet then fees is Rs 1,50,00 per year.
- Scholarships are available.
- Average number would be 2-3 in 100 of students getting scholarships
- Loans may be needed if staying at hostel and Its available quite easily
