What is UPCET?

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) exam has replaced the previously held Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). Through this exam, the candidates will be able to enrol into various professional courses offered by various institutions affiliated to the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), and other UP State Universities.

UPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for various courses offered through UPCET 2021 is discussed below:

General Eligibility Criteria for UPCET 2021

Candidates who will be appearing in the qualifying examination in the current academic year are eligible to apply for UPCET 2021.

  • Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, FNs and PIOs are eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: The conducting authorities have not set any age limit for candidates to appear for UPCET.

Domicile-Specific Eligibility Criteria for UPCET 2021

  • The candidate must be able to produce a domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh. Along with that, they should also have passed the qualifying examination from Uttar Pradesh.
  • If the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from a state other than UP, he/she must attach the domicile certificate of his/her parents to the UPCET application form.
  • At some Private colleges affiliated with AKTU, 10% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to a state other than Uttar Pradesh. They can opt for Architecture or Technology courses.

B.Arch Qualifying Exam It is mandatory for applicants to have a qualified 12th class board examination from UP board or its equivalent.
Minimum Marks Required The applicant should have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate, to apply for the B.Arch program offered through UPCET.

MCA Qualifying Exam The candidate must have done a Bachelors's course of 3 years (or equivalent) from a recognized university in India.

UPCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for Lateral Entry Courses

Candidates can also enroll for Lateral Entry (LE) B.Pharm, and MCA courses through UPCET. The detailed eligibility criteria for the same is discussed below:

B.Pharm:

  • The candidate should have studied Mathematics in XII standard.
  • It is mandatory for candidates to either be a B.Sc. Graduate or have a 2-3 years Diploma in Pharmacy.

MCA: The conditions for candidates to take admission into the second year of MCA are:

  • The candidate must possess the BCA or B.Sc. degree in IT or Computer Applications.

The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.

UPCET 2021 Application Process

  1. Visit the official site of UPCET, upcet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the New Registration button.
  3. Read the instructions carefully and then click on the 'Click here to Proceed' Button after which the Registration form shall open.
  4. Create a password, a security question, and a security answer for the same.
  5. Enter the security pin that will display on the screen and click on the submit button.
  6. Verify the details entered and click on the checkboxes at the end of the page.
  7. Upload the photo, signature.
  8. Click on the Submit button.

The candidates can pay the registration fees online through the payment gateway through debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI or Paytm.

UPCET 2021 Exam Pattern

UPSEE exam has been replaced by the UPCET. NTA has announced that the UPCET Exam will be conducted in CBT mode as compared to the UPSEE which was held in both online and offline mode.

The question papers of undergraduate courses and MBA (Integrated) and MCA (Integrated) courses will be bi-lingual both in English and Hindi. In case of any ambiguity, the English version shall be considered as final. The question papers for post-graduate level exams will be in English only.

UPCET 2021 Admit Card

The UPCET 2021 Admit card was released on the official website. The candidates were not able to enter the exam hall without a valid admit card.

  • Step 1: Visit the official site of UPCET.
  • Step 2: Click on the Admit card download link.
  • Step 3: Enter the Application number and password.
  • Step 4: UPCET 2021 Admit card will be visible on the screen.
  • Step 5: Download the admit card and take multiple prints of the same.

The candidates should preserve the UPCET 2021 admit card till the counselling process is complete.

UPCET 2021 Exam Centres
