Candidates who pass this level will be shortlisted for document verification, a typing skill test, and a computer-based aptitude test (depending on the position).

The test consists of many test batteries, and candidates must qualify for each one.

  • To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 42 on each test battery.
  • The minimal qualifying marks apply to all candidates, regardless of their SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen status.
  • The SM/TA merit list is drawn from among the applicants who pass the CBAT, with CBT 2 receiving 70% of the weightage and CBAT receiving 30% of the weightage.
