RRB NTPC 2020 Eligibility

As RRB NTPC 2020 recruitment is for a variety of posts, the eligibility criteria for every post varies from one another. RRB NTPC 2020 Application Form

The RRB NTPC 2020 application form will be available on the official website of RRB from March 1, 2020. Candidates can fill the application form March 31, 2020. Only eligible candidates can fill the application form. If any candidate fails to satisfy the criteria, his/her application form will be rejected.

Only General and OBC candidates have to pay RRB NTPC 2020 application Fee of INR 500/- in online mode by using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. SC/ ST/ Economically Backward/ Ex-Servicemen and Women Candidates have to pay INR 250/- for RRB NTPC 2020 exam. Candidates need to upload the scanned copy of their recent colour photograph, SC/ ST Certificate (if any), recent colour photograph of the scribe (if any) while filling the online application form.

The image size of the photograph should be between 15 to 40 KB and that of SC/ ST Certificate should be between 50 KB to 100 KB. The format of the image should be in the JPEG and not any other formats.

How to fill the RRB NTPC 2020 Application Form?

Step 1: Visit the website of RRB 2020 at www.indianrailways.gov.in and under 'Recruitments' Tab pick a region:

Step 2: Different regions have a different layout and from there, candidates can click on the application download link. The first link is for ALP and Technician post. The second link is to other posts.

Step 3: For the other posts once candidates click on the online application link and a new window opens where the candidates can Click on New Registration.

Step 4: A new window will open, fill all the basic details and click on the "Submit" button.

Step 5: After successful registration candidates will receive login credentials on the given Email ID.

Step 6: Log in with the credentials to fill the RRB NTPC 2020 Application Form. Fill all the details and click on the "Submit" button.

Step 7: Candidates will be redirected to the payment page. Candidates have to pay INR 100 by using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. After successful payment candidates can take a printout of the RRB NTPC Application Form

RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card

Candidates will be notified about RRB NTPC 2020 e-call letter through SMS and email. Only eligible candidates will be issued an e-call letter that should be downloaded from the official website of the RRB. Candidates should download the e-call letter ten days prior to the exam date. Failing to download the e-call letter within the stipulated time will not be given an alternative. Registration Number and Password will remain the same as the login credentials to download RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card/E-Call letter.

Steps to download RRB NTPC 2020 Admit Card

Step 1: Candidates will be provided with the link to the official website where he/she needs to provide the details about the application form to download the admit card

Step 2: Candidates need to provide their registration number, date of birth and the password

Step 3: After entering all the details in the required boxes, candidates will be taken to the download page where the admit card download link will be given

Step 4: After clicking on the download link, the RRB NTPC Admit Card will be downloaded

Step 5: The admit card will be in the pdf format. Candidates are advised to take the printout of the admit card and save the soft copy of the admit card in their computer. for further reference Candidates must carry admit cards at the time of appearing in the exam otherwise they will be restricted from appearing in the exam.

RRB NTPC 2020 Exam Pattern

There are 2 phases in RRB NTPC 2020 exam pattern. The first stage and second stage. Apart from these stages, there will also be an evaluation of the candidate's typing skill (for selected posts) through Typing Test.

  • Mode of Examination: Both of these stages will be held in online mode i.e. computer-based test (CBT).
  • Total Marks: the First stage will be for 100 marks and the second stage will be for 120 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: Every correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • Duration: Total duration for each stage of RRB NTPC 2020 Exam will be 90 minutes or 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • First Stage: First stage has 3 papers viz. General Awareness for 40 marks, Mathematics for 30 marks and General Intelligence & Reasoning for 30 marks.

RRB NTPC 2020 Result

The RRB NTPC 2020 results will be declared after one or two months of the examination on the official website and candidates will be able to check their result by using their roll number and name. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for 2nd stage examination, who clear the 1st stage exam according to the cut off marks. Steps to download RRB NTPC Result

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of RRB.
  • Step 2: The candidates should search for the "Result" tab on the top of the page and click on it.
  • Step 3: The candidates have to search for the exam whose results he/ she want to see and click on the 'click here' link under the NTPC tab.
  • Step 4: A pdf file will open showing the results in a Merit list. The list will show the candidates that have passed the 1st stage exam. RRB NTPC Recruitment

Candidates should compulsorily appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT) in each stage for RRB NTPC 2020 recruitment. Selection of the candidates will depend purely on the basis of the candidate's performance on each test. Those candidates who are shortlisted are required to appear for the document verification process, wherein they are supposed to produce necessary original documents. No candidate will be given any extra time to produce the documents. Conducting authority also evaluates the candidates of their fitness through a Medical Fitness Test. RRB NTPC Guidelines

Candidates should read the guidelines as per RRB NTPC 2020 notification:

  • Candidates who will not carry the admit card with them will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • Candidates must bring a valid Photo ID (viz. Voter card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN card, Passport, Identity Card issued by his employer in case the candidate is a Government employee, School/College/University Photo ID card, etc.)
  • Candidates must also bring one passport size colour photograph with a clear front view of the candidate without headwear like cap and sunglasses (except for religious headwear as long as the face is visible), for appearing in the CBT/RRB NTPC 2020 examination.
  • Just the issuance of Call Letter/e-admit card to the candidate does not mean that his candidature has been finally accepted by the RRB.

  1. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Physically Handicapped candidates, there is no application fee. For all others it is Rs.40/- (Rs. Forty) for the post having pay scale up to 3050 - 4590 and Rs 60/- (Rs. Sixty) for all the post having pay scale higher than 3050 - 4590. The application fee can be submitted in the form of IPO or Demand Draft. IPO/DD should not be of a date prior to the date of notification. The Demand Draft should be from a Scheduled Bank with a validity of not less than 6 months. Cash/ Money Order or any other form of fee is not acceptable. IPO / DD should be Drawn in favour of ASSISTANT SECRETARY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD PAYABLE AT MUMBAI for RRB NTPC.
