IB ACIO exam pattern 2023 is discussed in the section below. IB ACIO exam consists of three stages i.e. Tier 1 exam, Tier 2 exam and an interview. The candidates can only move to tier 2 exam after clearing the Tier 1 Exam.

Candidates who do not qualify for the tier 1 paper will not be allowed for the exam, so candidates must take the exam seriously and with adequate practice, they can clear the exam with ease.

IB ACIO 2023 Tier 1 Exam Pattern

The IB ACIO 2023 exam paper is objective in nature. The Tier 1 paper is divided into 4 sections. Each section consists of 25 questions carrying 1 mark each. The total time is given to complete all the 100 questions in 60 minutes. The details about the IB ACIO Tier 1 exam's sections are given below.

Negative Marking in IB ACIO 2023 Tier 1 Exam

IB ACIO has negative marking only in tier 1 of the exam. Each wrong has a negative of 1/4th of a mark of that particular question. 

IB ACIO 2023 Tier 2 Exam Pattern

The IB ACIO Tier 2 exam consists of a descriptive paper that the candidate has to complete in 60 minutes. The paper has two parts, its details are given below.

IB ACIO 2023 Exam Pattern for Interview

The candidates who are able to qualify Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams can then proceed to the third and final round that is the Interview. The questions asked are general in nature which basically involves the candidate's background, current geopolitical events, computer knowledge and knowledge in the domain in which the candidate has done their graduation. This stage constitutes 50 marks for the overall total.

Merit List: Finally, a merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in various stages in the whole process.

IB ACIO 2023 Candidate Selection Process

The IB ACIO follows a particular process while selecting candidates, it has been listed below. 

  • All registered candidates are required to appear in Tier I of the IB ACIO 2023 exam
  • Candidates qualifying the IB ACIO Tier 1 exam are called for IB ACIO Tier II
  • On the basis of their combined performance in Tier I and II, candidates are shortlisted for the interview round 
  • Based on the performance in Tier I, II and interview, candidates are shortlisted for the final selection and document verification
