What is the IB ACIO 2021 Exam?
The full form of IB ACIO is Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officers Examination. IB ACIO 2021 Exam is conducted for the post of ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) and in IB (Intelligence Bureau). The exam is conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). ACIO is a Grade – II, Group – C (Non-gazetted, Non-ministerial), executive post in IB. It is a very popular exam among the aspirants of security and intelligence jobs. - Step 1: Candidates have to appear for Tier-I Exam. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I of the exam. No marks will be given for the unattempted questions. Check the IB ACIO exam pattern for more information on the marking scheme.
- Step 2: Only those candidates who have completed the selection criteria for the Tier-I exam will be selected for the Tier-II exam.

IB ACIO 2021 Exam Pattern
This exam is conducted in 3 stages: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Tier 1 is for 100 marks, Tier 2 is for 50 marks and Tier 3 is conducted for 100 marks. Candidates who are able to qualify the Tier 1 exam are only entitled to give the tier 2 exam. Similarly, the candidates who qualify the tier 2 exam will proceed for the tier 3 exam.
