JKBOPEE is a government establishment in the state of Jammu & Kashmir that is responsible for conducting the professional entrance/eligibility examinations. Learn more about the organisation and the entrance tests conducted by it through this article.

History of JKBOPEE

Before 1987, the selection for the undergraduate and graduate courses were made by a Government department and it was part of their additional work. As the number of candidates writing for the entrance examinations increased, there was an increase in the workload of the department as well. They decided to constitute a full-time examining body in 1987 and their purpose was to organize entrance tests in a systematic and timely manner, which resembled the pattern followed by other states in the country. The Competent Authority thus satisfactorily performed the task.
