TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal was established  by the Late Shri. T. A. Pai. Initially, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course had only 49 students. It has now come out as one of the leading B-Schools in the country. It is second B-School to get an International accreditation from [AACSB].This College is best known for its two-year residential management programmes with specialisations in human resources, sales & banking and financial services. TAPMI also offers a course in collaboration with Jamshedpur Management Association for working persons in Jamshedpur and Ph.D courses in its own campus. In the year 2001, the NAAC accredited this institute with the “Five stars” grade. Faculty at TAPMI get a world of experience and knowledge from the industry, teach theory and the application of that theory in real-world situations, contribute the latest research developments in their domain, and remain accessible, beyond the classroom. Many subjects like BrandScan, LADC, SMIC, Samnidhy, TAPMI Finance Lab, QOTB and student clubs & committees ensure that every student gets enough opportunity to develop. The international collaboration of the institution with many universities from abroad will be helpful for the students to identify the current business closely.

Admission Process for PGDM
TAPMI Admission process is a 3 step process consisting of a Written Ability Test (WAT), followed by a Group Discussion (GD), followed by Personal Interview (PI).
NRI / PIO / Foreign Citizen or Foreign Nationals can also apply for admission.

  • Written Ability Test (WAT): TAPMI conducts WAT to evaluate written capabilities of prospective students. WAT aims to evaluate Articulation and Technical (Grammar and Spellings) of the applicant.
  • Group Discussions (GD): Group Discussions aims to evaluate the ability of the applicant to interact with a group. Topics for GD will be based on current affairs/ issues debated in the last five years.
  • Personal Interview (PI): TAPMI’s objective for conducting a personal interview is to understand the applicant’s attitude towards management education, a type of Behavioural Personal Interview.

TAPMI PGDM Admission 2020

TAPMI offers four different programs which includes Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-General),Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BKFS), Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Human Resources Management (PGDM-HR) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Marketing and Sales Management (PGDM-MSM).  

TAPMI PGDM Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates having a Graduate Degree with not less than 50% marks (final year) can apply for this course.
  • Candidates are shortlisted based on scores obtained in  CAT/ XAT/ GMAT  (higher score among tests).
  • Shortlisting is done based on work experience, if  work experience is  less than 24 months then the minimum cut off for CAT 2018 and XAT 2019 is 85%, GMAT is 630 marks, HSC/10+2, and SSC/10 with 60% and if work experience is more than 24 months then criteria followed will be CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher), academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, backlogs during graduation, etc.), work experience (the type of company, total experience, etc.), extra-curricular achievements if any.

  • What is the Eligibility criteria for PGDM
    -Candidates need to have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and they are shortlisted based on cut-off. The cut-off is based on CAT, XAT, GMAT, Graduation, 12th, 10th.
    For PIO / Foreign Nationals, GMAT is compulsory and IELTS if required.
