Entrance Exams & Admissions : S.G Balekundri Institute of Technology (S.G.B.I.T) is an engineering college in Belgaum, Karnataka.It was started in the year 2007. It offers U.G courses in the following streams i.e, Computer Science, Electronics & Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Civil engineering, mechanical engineering. It also offers P.G courses for civil an mechanical branch. The eligibility criteria to join the college on merit is 60%. To get a merit seat we should attend any of the following exams like CET, AIEEE, IIT, COMEDK. We can also enroll ourselves in the college through management by paying certain amount of money. The college has good academic record since 11years. The faculties are very hard working and friendly and helpful. The management is very strict towards academic matters. Along with academics, the college also conducts fests, cultural activities, sports etc. There are many workshops conducted very often. They also conduct seminars regarding career growth as well personality development classes for the growth of a student. The college purely focuses on the growth of a student in every aspect and hence it is one of the best college to get enrolled for the betterment of a student.

Placements & Internships : Our college didn't provide any internship. Companies like Unikaihatso, RiiiT, pratian technologies hired many candidates in the campus interview. The salary per year was approximately 3-4LPA. Aluminis were helpful and guided us very well whenever needed.

Fees & Scholarships : S.G.B.I.T provides both management as well as merit seats. Fees of the course through merit is Rs 50,000/- per year and management fees has been incresed to Rs 1,50,000/- per year. The college provides scholarship to students depending on academic score, sports and also government scholarships depending on the cast. The students who are eligible for the scholarship can apply for the scholarship based on the criteria. Loans are not mandatory. 

Academics & Faculty : The management is very strict about punctuality. It is very particular about the classes.  Every class/lecture has been conducted by the lecturers and should be attend by the students without fail.  Internals and examinations are always conducted on time and results are also deliverd on time. Teaching is very good because the management has hired teachers with good knowledge. Overall college experience is very nice.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : College infrastructure is very nice. A lot of amount has been spent in the infrasturcture of the college. Along with the buildings the management has also focussed on maintaining the greenery in the college and thus there are gardens evrywhere which are very well maintained by the gardeners everyday. This makes the college looks very beautiful.  Cleanliness is another important aspect which is maintained highly in the college. the college campus is vey neat and clean. Every department has been provided by the wi-fi. The collegeg also has a digital library where we can browse information and do our project wotk. College has one two hostels for girls maintained neatly. It also has a mess where girls can have their food. College provides a hostel for boys outside the college campus which is at a distance of 5 minutes by walk.    

Clubs & Associations : Life at college is very intrersting and competitive. There is a association called as LEAD. The students from this association are a mainly  part of campaigns such as swach bharat abhiyan, and other activities.  There are no other association in college but students are part of evry activity. The main festival of the college is Samveekshana. It is the main college fest. Apart from samveekshana there are tech fest, sports day, women's day, fun week etc.
