RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore was established in 1992. Initially, the college started as the Department of Architecture in R. V. College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru. In 1995, the department shifted to a new building within the RVCE campus.  The department obtained autonomy and renamed to R.V School of Architecture in 2009. Later in the same year, the Council of Architecture (COA), India, approved its re-designation to R.V College of Architecture. 

In 2014, the college shifted to a new campus with affiliation to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka. This campus contains Academic Block classrooms, seminar halls and studios, Administration Block, and Hostel Block making it an iconic example of contemporary architecture.

RV College of Architecture Placement

RVCA B.Arch Eligibility

B.Arch is a three-year full-time course offered to students at RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must have qualified for these exams: KCET / COMEDK / NATA / JEE Paper-II.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in Class 12 or II PUC or Equivalent in Physics & Mathematics. 
• The candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in Chemistry and 50% aggregate.

RVCA M.Arch Eligibility

M.Arch is a 2-year full-time course offered to students at RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must have qualified for these exams: PGCET/ GATE.
• The candidate should have passed the prescribed qualifying examination [B.Arch].
• Candidate must have a minimum of 50% aggregate taken together in all the subjects in all the years.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 45% aggregate in case of SC, ST, and Category-I candidates.

RVCA PGD in Data Center Architecture Eligibility

RV College of Architecture Admission

Interested candidates can apply through online and offline mode. Here are the RVCA admission process details:

Admission to B.Arch program at RVCA

• The students can take admission through the KCET merit list of the current year as notified and published by KEA. 
• Candidates seeking admissions Through COMEDK shall obtain admission through the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)
• Candidates should have appeared for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both General Merit and Category Candidates.
• Through Management Quota, the candidate must pass Class 10 in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 70% aggregate and Class 12 in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 65% aggregate.

Admission to M.Arch program at RVCA

• B.Arch with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognized university.
• The candidate must appear in PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority)
• Candidates with valid GATE score can also apply directly for admission.

At the time of admission by RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore, a portfolio review (maximum of 10 pages) and an interview will be conducted.

RV College of Architecture Hostel Details

• In the Hostel Block at RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore, there are separate girls and boys hostel blocks.
• There are a total of 43 bedrooms are available each in the Girls and Boys Hostel block.
• An additional 30 bed-capacity is available in Venkatadri Hostel located about 4 kilometres from the main campus.
• A vegetarian mess providing four meals a day is attached to the hostel for students' convenience.
