Rabindra Bharati University was established in 1962 in West Bengal, Kolkata. It is accredited ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. It offers various courses in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, and Human Studies.

The Directorate of Distance Education has the status of a Higher Learning Institution under the Rabindra Bharati University. It came into existence in 2002 after the approval from the Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal. It offers postgraduate and diploma courses which are recognized by the Distance Education Bureau, UGC.

RBU DDE Infrastructure Facilities:

The learner support centers of the University provides certain facilities to the needy. It offers classrooms wherein the students can interact with the mentor once in a while. It also provides reading rooms. Some of the centers have wifi facilities. They also provide the canteen. Some of them have CCTV surveillance.

RBU DDE Admissions:

Rabindra Bharati University Distance Education admission is done online. It is conducted centrally through the Directorate of distance education website www.rbudde.in. The candidates can fill the application form and make the payment online. They should use their own mobile number and mail id for registration.

The candidates need to submit the hard copy of the application form along with the photocopies of the necessary documents at the respective study center or LSC. The candidates should also bring the original certificates for verification. There is no age limit for admission.
