It was founded in 1959 by Parle Tilak Vidyalaya as Parle College which was renamed in 1993. PTVA’s Sathaye College offers undergraduate degrees in Science, Humanities, and Commerce. The duration of all courses at the undergraduate level is 3 years. The intake for the undergraduate humanities programs is 360 students, 600 students for the commerce programs, and 360 for the science stream.

PTVA’s Sathaye College offers postgraduate degrees in science and humanities. The duration of all courses at the postgraduate level is 2 years. The intake for the MA programs is 60 students each, 40 students for B.Sc. IT program, and 10 students each for M.Sc Chemistry and Botany.

Admission to the various courses is done through the application form. They have to login by creating a username and supplying details like mobile no., mother's name, Aadhar no., and date of birth. Admission fees are according to the PTVASC fee structure

  • Students seeking admission should apply in person during the hours notified for the purpose.
  • Every student has to affix his/ her photograph on the admission form.
  • A student seeking admission to the college shall have to person himself/ herself along with an application in the prescribed form duly filled in and signed by him/ her and by his/ her parent/guardian, for an interview with the Principal. No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless it is granted by the authority of the Principal and the necessary fees have been received by the college.
  • All admissions are valid only for one academic year and are required to be renewed by application in the prescribed form for every subsequent year of study in the college.

  • One must pass the HSC to get admission in B.Sc with good percentage, 1st you have to fill the online form visiting Mumbai university site.
  • The cutoff list will be displayed according to percentage.if ur percentage fits in cut off list criteria.
  • one requires a higher percentage of getting admission in science, this college is well.known for science, there are different labs and department for various science stream

Though I am in OBC category still my marks were sufficient for being opted as open category student. There are no entrance exams for Jc admission and typical cutoff is above 90% for first list in open category.
