Pandit Deendayal Energy University provides scholarships based on many categories. The course-wise scholarships of PDEU are mentioned below

B.Tech. Scholarships

To become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in subsequent years, the students are required to-

  • To have earned a minimum SPI of 8 in the 1st Semester, and also of 8.5 in every subsequent semester.
  • To have passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behavior, and compliance with all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to time.

 Merit cum Means Scholarship (w. e. f. third semester)

  • The scheme is applicable to the Students with effect from their third semester.
  • The total annual income (from all sources) of the student’s family should not exceed Rs. 8.00 Lacs in the previous financial year.
  • Students seeking such scholarships will have to apply upon declaration of their result of Sem. 3, in a prescribed form. The merit list will be based on the result of 1st year and further, the continuation of the scholarship in subsequent 3rd and 4th year shall subject to a minimum of 6.5 CPI at the first attempt in the previous year, besides fulfillment of other norms e.g. regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behavior.
  • The scholarship will be 50% of the total Tuition Fees and from the 2nd Academic Year.
  • A list of qualifying applicants shall be arranged in the ascending order of their merit. The Scholarship Committee, keeping in view relative merits, will decide award of scholarships to top SEVEN (7) meritorious students in each branch of B.Tech..

*Note

The candidates admitted on NRI seats or on tuition fee waiver ACPC seats will not be eligible for availing any kind of scholarships or financial assistance.

M.Tech - Financial Assistance

The University offers financial assistance as per its availability from its own resources as Scholarship as follows:

  • For candidates having qualified and valid GATE score admitted in Phase I only: Rs. 12,400/- p.m.For candidates admitted under Phase-II Non-GATE category admission process: Rs. 8000/- p.m., subject to the conditions that
    • The number of such candidates-beneficiaries will be limited to the no. of GATE category seats in respective branch if remain unfilled.
    • The selection of candidates the scholarships will be as per the admission merit, and further such candidates should have secured minimum 50% score overall for the parameters considered for the admission merit.
  • It will be obligatory on the part of every post-graduate candidate to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work related to academic & co-academic and research activities as assigned to him/her from time to time. This includes tutorials, laboratory classes, development and maintenance of laboratories, assistance in research and activities undertaken by faculty members, maintenance and operation of computer and other central facilities, assistance in the library, examinations, etc.  

Scholarship on merit cum means basis for SPM - PDEU MBA Students
for Academic Session 2021-22

  • PDEU offers up to 10 scholarships - a 50% Tuition Fee Waiver (effective from 1st Trimester) - on merit cum means basis, from its own resources based on CAT/XAT/NMAT scores (eligibility for consideration is 85 percentile and above), maximum annual family income (not to exceed INR 10 Lakhs from all sources in the previous financial year) and the awardees maintaining good academic performance (minimum 3.2 GPA from 1st trimester onwards) in all trimesters.
  • A merit list of all finally admitted candidates eligible for a scholarship based on their CAT/XAT/NMAT scores and those fulfilling maximum family income criterion shall be prepared for the consideration of their cases by a duly appointed committee by PDEU. More details about scholarships shall be available to all admitted students for sessions 2021-22. 

Ph.D - Financial Assistance

  • The University offers financial assistance from its own resources as per its availability in the name of fellowship, who would qualify as per the norms specified below on a merit basis as follows.
  • Up to first two years- Rs.25,000/- per month as a research fellowship, In the third year- Rs.30,000/- per month as a research fellowship
  • M.E./ M.Tech. GATE qualified candidates admitted pursuing Ph. D. on a full-time basis in the research areas of Engg. & Technology may be granted the fellowships as mentioned above on merit basis.
  • M.Sc. (Tech.) in GeoScience (3-year full time) qualified candidates having GATE/NET/SLET/CSIR score admitted to pursue Ph. D. on a full-time basis in the research areas of Engg. & Technology may be granted the fellowships as mentioned on a merit basis.
  • The candidates admitted to pursue Ph.D. on a full-time basis in the research areas of Management may be granted the fellowships as mentioned above on merit basis provided they have a valid CAT score with a minimum of 60 percentile at the time of the admission tests.
  • The candidates admitted to pursue Ph. D. on a full-time basis in the research areas of Sciences and areas under School of Liberal Studies may be granted the fellowships as mentioned above on merit basis provided they have a valid UGC NET/CSIR-UGC NET/SLET score at the time of the admission tests.
  • The above policy procedure is subject to modification whenever found necessary by the University.
  • Financial assistance in the form of a Teaching Assistance ship on merit basis is also available for the students who would not be receiving the above referred financial assistance: Rs.10,000/- per month
  • It may be continued for up to 3 years on satisfactory performance based on an overall review from semester to semester. During these 03 years, such students may be given a financial incentive of Rs. 2,000/- per publication in approved peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contingency allowance of maximum Rs. 10,000/- per year as per the norms.

Education loan

The education loan facility will be available to the eligible students from the leading banks at the preferred rate of interest. The students are required to provide supporting documentation as required by the bank.
