December 24,2024

• The CLAT 2025 results will be revised to rectify the identified errors, and revised results will be issued for all candidates.

December 23,2024

• The CLAT 2025 First Allotment List has been delayed. Revised counseling dates and results are awaited.

Deceember 21,2024

• The CLAT 2025 counselling registration has been closed, and the last date was December 20, 2024. The candidates whose names are on the CLAT Invite List can participate in the counselling process. The first merit list will be published on December 26, 2024. The admissions in NLUs and other colleges will be finalized after five rounds of online counselling at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Deceember 19,2024

• CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration closes on December 20, 2024. Candidates who have appeared for CLAT and are on the invitation list can register online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The first merit list is expected to be released on December 26, 2024. The process includes seat allotment in multiple rounds, and the final result is expected by May 28, 2025.

Deceember 11,2024

• CLAT 2025 counseling has begun, and candidates are being guided through the process of registration, fee payment, and seat allocation for top NLUs and some non-NLUs. Candidates have to complete the process within the deadlines. The admission procedure includes document verification and seat acceptance. Counseling is aimed at securing placements in premier law institutions, and detailed updates are given to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

GNLU is one of the best law college in the state of Gujarat. GNLU has been ranked 8th by NIRF Ranking 2024 among law colleges in India. 

Eligibility Criteria for LLB and LLM Admissions at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar

• In order to gain admission to LLB, candidates must have completed the 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
• The same eligibility criteria is relaxed by 5% for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
• Candidates seeking admission to any of the LLB programmes must have written the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and obtain the required ranks to be eligible for admission to GNLU.
• For LLM admissions, candidates must have completed the LLB or equivalent degree from any UGC recognised university with at least 55% aggregate marks. The minimum required aggregate is relaxed by 5% for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
• The candidates who are currently completing the final year of the graduation/10+2 (or appeared for the exams and awaiting results) are also eligible, provided that they can produce their documents and certificates of study at the time of admission.
• All candidates seeking admission at GNLU must compulsorily clear the CLAT exam.

Cutoff for Admission to GNLU

• The above eligibility criteria are taken into serious consideration for admissions.
• Interested candidates must ensure to satisfy all the entry requirements before submitting their applications for the relevant courses.
• Candidates who have secured the highest marks will be called for the initial rounds of admission counselling and will be given the first preference of seats and the core branch of their choice.
• Candidates will be granted seats on the basis of merit from their 10+2 as well as relevant entrance examination marks.
• Applicants may have to attend some selection rounds wherein they will have to participate in a group discussion or personal interview.
• If a candidate has passed the exams and satisfies the eligibility, he/she must ensure to attend all the selection rounds, failing which the admission will not be considered.
• Admissions are given only on a merit basis only, and candidates cannot obtain seats on a donation scheme.
• 25% of all seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates.

Hostel and Mess at GNLU, Gandhinagar

• Hostels have been provided for boys and girls with all basic comfortable living amenities.
• The rooms are spacious and airy, provided on double sharing basis.
• Every student in the hostel is given his/her own bed and desk.
• There is full-time Wifi in the hostels, power back up and running water is always available.
• Purified drinking water is available on all the floors of the hostel.
• Students also have a common recreational space equipped with furniture, television and a pantry area.
• Laundry stations are placed on every floor where students may use the washing and dryer machines.
• 24-hour security is deployed on major spots of the campus and around the hostels.
• Students are also served fresh, healthy food daily. In the case of illness, candidates can avail food to be brought to the room.
• There is a hair salon, courier facility and night mess, where students can avail basic services and food anytime.
• A medical facility is available with doctors on call for students on campus. Ambulances can be arranged to transport students to nearby hospitals if there is an emergency.
• The hostels maintain a good rapport with the parents of resident students. Many extracurricular activities are arranged for their recreation.
