For NIT Patna PhD admission 2018, the candidate should have completed their M.Tech/ M.E/ MArch/ M.Planning/ M.Design or an equivalent degree with at least 70% marks in aggregate.
The candidate who has qualified degree from CFI's are required to produce a proof of qualifying GATE/ JAM/ JEST/ CAT or equivalent national eligibility test is eligible for the admission.
Candidate should have qualified MSc/ MCom/ MBA/ MA or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
Candidate should have qualified BTech/ BE/ BArch or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with at least 80% marks in aggregate with a valid GATE/ NET/ JAM/ JEST qualifying score.
Minimum 5% relaxation to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST category.

Scholarship	Criteria
Merit Cum Means Scholarship	All the candidates admitted to this course except SC/ ST category are eligible for award of Merit-Cum-Means scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to minimum 25% of the students admitted each year to the undergraduation course The MCM scholarship will be payable to the candidates for complete 12 months of the academics session
