National Centre for Cell Science, Pune is an autonomous institute of the Biological Department, Govt of India. The institute was established with three directions i.e., serving as a national repository of animal cell cultures; undertaking research in cell biology, human resource development. NCCS college is situated in the enriched campus of S.P. Pune University. NCCS has been engaged in research in cell biology and also has been contributing valuable services as a national cell repository. It has also been supporting human resource development through teaching and training programs.
