With mixed feelings from students about its academic or otherwise, MVJ College of Engineering has been ranked among the top engineering colleges in Bangalore. Whispers have it that the college is generally strict. Given this, it is worth analysing the vivacity of the college.

MVJ College of Engineering has been claiming 100% placement for its students. However, the ground reality is different. The placement rates can be seen dwindling for many new and old branches. Students have often been unsatisfied with the placements.

MVJ College of Engineering has an efficient and robust course structure. It has been designed with industry-relevant topics. The college has been introducing newer courses with the advent of new technologies.

MVJ College of Engineering has an extensive conduct code that the students must follow. These rules and regulations are strictly imposed. Students can often be heard lamenting about the same. Here are a few of the rules and conducts that the students are to follow:

How Good are the Placements?

MVJ College of Engineering has made tall claims about its placements. It has been said that college provides 100% placements. However, from the student’s insights, the situation seems grim. For many of its new courses, either few companies are coming to recruit, or the placements are not provided. The company has previously failed to convince many recruiters to come for placements. Only about 70 companies visit each year for the campus placements. 

The compensation offered to students, though, is quite significant. The average salary package that the students are offered is INR 8.4 LPA. The highest package offered is INR 21 LPA.

Diverse and Inclusive Campus

MVJ College of Engineering has strived to build a diverse and inclusive campus, fostering bonds. Students from every corner of the country are admitted to the campus. Also, provisions have been made extensively for specially-abled people. 

The college hosts cultural and sports events for the student's engagement. However, it needs to arrange programs regularly. Students can immerse themselves in activities organised by various student-led clubs such as Dhwani, AAkriti, Tensor, Literature, and more. Regular guest lectures, seminars, alumni meetings, and conferences are arranged. The college also does not emphasis on having any particular dress code or uniform.
