MVJCE believes in identifying talent among students and showing its appreciation of these talents by bestowing prizes, awards, and scholarships. In the last 4 years alone, Rs.50 Lakhs worth of prizes have been distributed to student projects and competitions. Cash awards to the tune of Rs. 1.44 crores have been given to Rank Holders in the last 10 years, as a motivation to strengthen Engineering education in our country.

Every year, meritorious students admitted into Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in M V J College of Engineering, Bangalore, are given financial assistance by Dr M. V. Jayaraman Foundation, conforming to the philanthropic nature of our Founder. The Foundation offers scholarships, based on the previous academic performance of the applicant students. The institution has initiated a thriving tradition of offering over 550 scholarships every year, to meritorious and deserving students.

Dr M. V. Jayaraman Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarships available for the academic year 2021-22 for Undergraduate Students in Management Quota

• Students within 5000 Ranks (Karnataka-CET) OR
• Students within 6000 Ranks (JEE Mains/Advanced) OR
• Students with above 80% aggregate in 10+2 (PUC – Karnataka Board/CBSE/ICSE) and 80% aggregate in 10th Standard
• Students with above 70% aggregate in 10+2 (PUC – Karnataka Board/CBSE/ICSE) and 70% aggregate in 10th Standard
• Students with above 60% aggregate in 10+2 (PUC – Karnataka Board/CBSE/ICSE) and 60% aggregate in 10th Standard

Continuation of Scholarship for UG - Higher Semesters (2nd, 3rd and 4th Years)

Students can also continue to avail themselves of the scholarships in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the Engineering courses. This is subject to certain conditions:

• Only the students who secured the scholarship in the previous year/years are eligible to apply for renewal.
• Those who fail to secure the CGPA specified below, as per the Merit Structure, are not eligible to apply for scholarships from the subsequent academic year/years. Such students need to pay the regular Tuition Fee and College Fee, as applicable.

Scholarships available for the academic year 2021-22, for Postgraduate Students in Management Quota

• Students within 1000 Ranks (PGCET/ MAT/CAT), and above 80% aggregate in UG {Merit 1}

Continuation of scholarship for PG -2nd Year

Students can continue to avail of the scholarship in the 2nd year of the PG program also. This is subject to certain conditions:

• Only the students who secured the scholarship in the previous year are eligible to apply for renewal
• Those who fail to secure the CGPA specified below, as per the Merit Structure, are not eligible to apply for scholarships from the subsequent academic year. Such students need to pay the regular Tuition Fee and College Fee, as applicable
• Above 80% - 7.8 CGPA, to continue scholarship under PG Merit 1
• Above 60% - 7.0 CGPA, to continue scholarship PG Merit 2
• Scholarship Merits are not interchangeable

Selection Procedure

The candidate must send an application, along with scanned copies of proof of results, to scholarship@mvjce.edu.in.

• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• The Scholarship Committee of Dr M.V. Jayaraman Foundation will start processing applications from 1st July 2021, onwards.
• The application of the candidate will be scrutinized, verified and processed by the Scholarship Committee.
• The Scholarship Committee will then recommend to the Management the list of students found eligible as per merit for the scholarship.
• The selection results will be notified on 20th July 2021.

Terms & Conditions

The scholarship will be considered for only one academic year, at a time. To avail of the scholarship for the next academic year, the student needs to submit the renewal application form, along with the necessary documents, two weeks before the commencement of the odd semester.

• Any new application or renewal application of the scholarship submitted after the due date will be rejected.
• The candidates need to re-apply, along with the result documents duly attested by the Principal.
• If any student fails to score CGPA as per the Merit structure in an academic year, he/she will not be eligible to apply for a scholarship in the next academic year. Such students need to pay the regular Tuition Fee and College Fee, as per the Management Quota.
• To be eligible for continuation of the scholarship, the student needs to have 85% attendance in all the subjects.
• The student should not have been involved in any act of indiscipline, or in any way tarnish the reputation of the institution.
• If the scholarship beneficiary discontinues his/her course, the complete benefit of the scholarship availed previously must be returned by him/her to the institution.
• The MVJCE Scholarship Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any Scholarship Application.
• Students seeking scholarship at the time of admission into the institution (1st year) are expected to fill up a separate scholarship application, available along with their main application form, and submit both to the Admission Office.
• An affidavit that specifies the Terms and Conditions of the scholarship is to be executed by the beneficiary before availing himself of the scholarship.

For subsequent years, the candidate needs to submit a Scholarship Renewal Application form, along with the documents specified below:

• Result sheet of the previous academic year
• Recommendation letter from the HOD, attested by the Principal
• Attendance Certificate to prove 85 % attendance in all subjects
