Admission

I opted for the course BA and there was no entrance test. The admissions were purely merit-based. Since I had scored 86% in my twelfth board exams, I easily got admission in the college. The cut-off for BA was 60% in any stream. The admission process was quite simple.

Placements & Internships

There is a placement cell in the college which remains quite active throughout the year. This cell makes sure that notices regarding internships and placement drives are well circulated in the campus. This year a number of companies like Amazon and Tommy Hilfiger were on the campus for hiring students. They offered a salary ofINR 15,000-INR 20,000 per month which isn't bad for a fresh graduate. However, only a few, say 10% students got hired for these companies. The rest of the students had to settle for the call center job offers.

MCM DAV college for women is one the prestigious college in the Chandigarh. Getting admission here is a bit tough because of the higher cutoff. Fill the respective form with all the necessary documents such as marks card, character certificate of last attended institution, migration certificate, category certificate, etc. There's no entrance examination for getting admission as the admission is centralized.
