ACADEMICS & FACULTY
  • You cant gain any knowledge from college.
  • The faculties are good but it is a typical village type college.So faculties are not very serious and other thing is students are also not very serious at AS College

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE
  • Dont know anything about it. I dont have any idea
  • I was not a very punctual student.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
  • There were sports association for cricket, badminton, football, chess.
  • I was a part of the badminton and chess team there was a indore stadium for practice.
  • There were college level, zonal level quize competion

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE
  • No idea on this its a small town and during my time there were no bars and pub. Howerver as time had changed so not knowing now what happens there was no problem with race gender or any other such thing

About AS College, [ASC] Khanna

The A.S. College, Khanna, was established in the year 1946. The College is affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh. It is a grant-in-aid institution. The college was established by the Anglo-Sanskrit High School Khanna Trust and Management Society whose aim is to empower the educationally backward and disadvantaged, predominantly rural population, by imparting a liberal general education (in languages, arts, science and technical education) with a special stress on the values of humanism, secularism and nationalism. The institution is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and 12(b). In view of the overall assessment of the institution, it has been accredited A+ Grade by NAAC, Bangalore in 2004. Presently, it is gearing up for the reaccrediation process to be undertaken soon during the coming years.

A.S. College is the great temple of learning. Since its inception in 1946,the college has been trying its level best to achieve varied goals and objectives as enshrined in constitution of the institution. It has been Shaping its curricular and administrative performance keeping pace with the emerging trends in higher education. New courses have been incorporated in its curricular framework from time to time to fulfill the aspiration and needs of students.Many pass out students of this college are enjoying the enviable position in their fields.

Monday to Saturday: 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Library has been divided into different sections for its smooth functioning:
1. Circulation Section
This section contains general text books related with various subjects. Library has an open access system. All the books have been arranged from 001 to 999 according to Dewey Decimal Classification System.

2. Reference Section
This section contains important reference books on all subjects. Besides this, dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesaurus, travel guides, c

The college has a regular Placement Cell & Career Guidance Bureau headed by a Placement Officer, who makes efforts to secure placements through company interviews and brochures highlighting the profile of the students.
