Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh is popularly known as MCM DAV, was established in 1968 by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, to commemorate the meritorious services rendered by Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan, former Chief Justice of India, a distinguished legal luminary, great patriot, administrator par excellence, committed educationist, social reformer and humanist.

MCM DAV offers admission to students under UG, PG, M.Phil, and P.hD courses with different specialization to choose from. Under the UG department, MCMDAV offers the following courses: B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.A, B.Sc. Under the PG department, MCMDAV offers the following courses: M.A, M.Com, M.Sc and under Doctorate it offers P.hD and M.Phil.
