Only 1 hostels. Food is a little bit bad. Quality of infrastructure is in very good condition.

Mar Ivanios College, [MIC] Thiruvananthapuram Infrastructure Details

Facilities :-


  1. The Library and Reading Room will remain open on all days from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm except on Sundays and public holidays.
  2. Books can be borrowed or returned from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm on all working days.
  3. Silence shall be strictly observed in the Library, Reading Room and its premises.
  4. Students are required to produce their identity card on demand to enter the Library.
  5. Journals, periodicals and books in the Reference Section will not be lent out. They may be referred to inside the library by submitting the identity card.
  6. Students at the UG level will be issued three books and those at the PG level five books.
  7. Students are not allowed to sub-lend the books.
  8. A member who fails to return a book on the due date will be fined Rs 1/­per day until the book is returned.
  9. If a book is overdue beyond one week, the Librarian will report the matter to the Principal.
  10. Borrowers will be held responsible for any damage caused to a book. When a book is issued to a member it is presumed that it is in good condition, unless otherwise pointed out. If a book is damaged or lost by a member, he/she will have to replace it or pay the cost of the book at the current rates with fine.
  11. All the books must be returned to the Library before the closing of each term, or at the time of sending the applications for the University Examinations.
  12. Keep footwear out of the Library.
  13. Library is a full-fledged, well furnished and computerized one. Students are requested to use the facilities with care.

Computer Centre

Mar Ivanios Computer Centre: The Centre is well equipped for conducting courses and training programmes in various branches of Computer Science, Computer Operations and Computer Applications.

 The Centre is autonomous and its programmes do not form part of the academic programme of the college. Students however may make use of the facilities and services provided by this centre on the campus. A Cybercentre is attached to  this centre. Teachers and students of this college can avail themselves of the internet and e-mail facilities at this Centre.

Counselling Centre

Activities of the Ivano Counselling Centre are being co-ordinated by a group of faculty members led by Rev.Fr.Daniel Poovannathil. The Centre caters to the counselling needs of the entire student community of the college. Ms. Priya Mary Paul serves as a full-time counselling psychologist. Students are free to seek the services of the counsellor anytime between 09.00 am and 04.00 pm on all working days or at any other time on request and need. Individual and general counselling are also offered by Principal,Class teachers and all Faculty members. Moreover, external counsellors are made available periodically to address the students. The College also offers personal mentoring for I Year Degree students. Every 20 students are assigned a mentor who is their freind, philosopher and guide on the campus.

College Hostels

St. Thomas Hostel for Men: The Hostel, a ‘Home Away From Home’, provides residential facilities to 300 men students. Accommodation for students of Mar Theophilus Training College is also provided. Students are given single room facility.

College Bus

Students who wish to travel by college bus will have to register their names with the Management Clerk  at the time of their admission. Advance should be paid which will be adjusted against the bus fare during the academic year. Renewal of registration is to be done paying an equal amount at the beginning of each academic year.All payments should be made at the College Co-operative Bank and receipts should be produced  to obtain the Registration Card. The college bus will reach the College by 9.15 a.m.
