Academics & Faculty : Madras Schol of economics is actually one of the only colleges in India who offers specialization in various fields of Economics. It is especially known for its research capacity in Environment Economics. The classes are conveniently timed and the frequency is kept sufficiently low. Also, there is a compulsory dissertation for every student with a mentor assigned to each one of them.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Tthe college boasts a state of the art teaching facility. The entire college and hostel are connected by a single wireless network. The college has made keeps it self update by buying useful software and computer languages and provides it to students staying in the hostel via remote desktop connection. The library is well equipped.

Clubs & Associations : There have been unofficial football leagues and cricket leagues in which students have taken part enthusiastically. One advantage we have is that people from around the country frequent MSE. hence, every festival is celebrated with gusto
