CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS

No clubs, no student societies, in time for all that stuff. Only one Annual fest that takes place in Dec-Feb period. It has a sports week and a cultural week. Overall, a very mundane home to class, class to home type of life.


INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

The building (called Raheja Education Complex) is G+7 storeyed. Floor 1&2- Architecture and Interior Design. Floor 3&4- Business Management (Different College) Floor 5&6- Hotel Management (Different College) The ground floor has the reception and admin for Architecture school, the common canteen (with avg food) and the auditorium.


ACADEMICS & FACULTY

Classes start at 7:30 am and end at 2:00 pm from Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday are holidays. The faculty is average. Quality of teaching is also average. Each working day calls for a submission of the particular subject throughout the year.


FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP

The fees are as follows (as of 2017) (fees per annum) Open- INR 1.05 lac INR OBC- INR 71 thousand INR This is the 'scholarship' system. If the category students fail to submit the scholarship form, they need to pay the full INR 1.05 lakh rupees.


PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK

Semester 8 asks for an internship which is to be carried out by the student himself whose certification is to be submitted to the college later. An internship can be done from any firm from any city in the country. The college doesn't offer placements before or after the final semester. No companies come for placements.


Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

LS Raheja is affiliated to the Mumbai University where admission can be taken through the scores achieved in NATA (as of 2017) after 12th std.

  • There is a woman grieviance association
  • There is a college fest which includes cultural exhibition 
  • Life in college is too hectic. sleepless nights followed by juries and tension of plots submitted on time and presenations to be upto mark. but still we enjoy it.

  • There are no hostels in the college.
  • There are some PG's and there rent per month goes upto Rs 7000 a  month.
  • Food is good. Per meal costs for around Rs 50 to 60.
  • Quality of classrooms is good, good library and recently they have installed wifi connection.

 


PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK

  • I have done a one and half month workshp in sp+a architectural firm for experience.
  • Many architectural firms hire architects for the jobs.
  • According to me highest salary is on the efficiency and it starts from Rs.8,000/- per month.

  • My course fee is Rs. 76,000/- per year.
  • There are some university scholarships.
  • A maximum of 5 students can get the scholarship
  • Loans are needed beacause of daily expenses on materials and the overall fee structure.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY

  • Classes start at 7am in the morning and by 2'o clock our college hours end. we have studio time with some external and internal juries and discussions with teachers, presentations. we spend the quality time making models,experimenting and visualising in 3 dimensions.
  • Overall experience is very good at college. Various different site visits are conducted by teachers.
