JSS Medical College and Hospital Mysore was established by the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research. It is a constituent college of JSS University and offers quality education in the field of Medical. JSS Medical College and Hospital Admission 2024

It is a medical college based in Mysore, Karnataka, India. JSS Medical College admission offers MBBS courses at the undergraduate level and MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses at the postgraduate level along with three different subjects of research at the Doctoral level. The MBBS course is offered for a duration of five and a half years, whereas, all the postgraduate courses are offered for a duration of three years. Admission to the MBBS course is offered based on NEET score of the candidates, whereas for the PG courses, marks obtained by the candidates in COMEDK PGET are considered for inviting candidates for the counseling rounds. For the Ph.D. courses, the college conducts separate entrance tests as well as an interview for evaluation of the candidates.

The college offers several Diploma and PG Diploma courses. Some courses can opt directly after 10th standard while for some the candidate needs to have completed 10+2 examination. For PG Diploma courses, the candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree in order to apply. The eligibility criteria for the courses are given below.

JSS Medical College and Hospital UG Admission 2024

The college offers MBBS in 3 categories such as Preclinical, Paraclinical, and Clinical. The course is for a duration of 4 and 1/ 2 years. As per the Medical Council of India, there are 9 semesters with 6 months duration each. Each category has multiple specializations with an intake of 190 students overall, 159 seats through CPMT, 28 seats through CBSE Pre Medical Test, and 3 seats for government nominee.

JSS Medical College and Hospital UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, and Admission Criteria

Applicants who have qualified NEET UG conducted by CBSE are eligible for admission. A student is eligible for entry to the course after clearing the 12th class (Intermediate) examination. NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses in India in Medical/ Dental colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The course fee for B.Sc ranges from INR 35,000 to INR 1,00,000 per year and varies based on the discipline. MBBS course is offered at INR 7,00,000 per annum.

The college offers postgraduate programs in Doctor Of Medicine (MD), Master Of Surgery (MS), M.Sc (Medical Sciences), MDS, M.Pharm, and MBA. All the PG Diploma students are full-time postgraduate students attached to the concerned department. Duties and responsibilities are the same as MD/ MS students.

JSS Medical also offers MD, MS, and Diploma degrees at the PG level under various specializations in Medicine. A candidate applying for these courses must have completed the MBBS degree. The application process for these PG level courses starts by the end of March. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counseling on the basis of NEET PG merit at All India level for admission of the candidates against 50% of All India Quota seats. All the Diploma students are full-time postgraduate students attached to the concerned department. Duties and responsibilities are the same as MD/ MS students. All the courses are of 2 years duration.

The college offers a few Super Specialty courses. Candidates who have completed MS (Surgery) or MD (Medicine) are eligible to apply for NEET-SS conducted by the National Board of Examinations to get admission into the Super Specialty Courses. Admission to the candidates is given solely on the basis of their NEET-SS merit. Admission to M.Ch course is made through All India M.Ch. entrance test managed by Director General of Medical Education and Training of U.P. state. Candidates who have passed their M.D. (Medicine) or M. S. (Surgery) courses are eligible. NEET-SS is a computer-based test with 200 MCQs. The questions are based on MS/ MD syllabus taught in the Medical Colleges of the country approved by MCI. Only the Department of Cardiology of JSS Medical College and Hospital offers Super Specialty Courses to the aspirants. Admission to these courses is made through All India D.M./ M.Ch. entrance test conducted by Director General of Medical Education and Training of U.P. state. Candidates who have passed their M.D. (Medicine) or M. S. (Surgery) courses are eligible for entrance tests. The courses are for a duration of 3 years. The examination will be held at the end of three years. The admission fee is INR 2000/-. The courses offered by the college are given below, with a total intake of 6 seats.

Applicants have to submit the application form in offline mode. The admission fee for various programmes will be based on JMCAH fee structure.
