Jorhat Medical College was established in 2005 by the state government with an aim of imparting quality education and supporting the healthcare system. It is affiliated with Dibrugarh University of Dibrugarh, Assam. It is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) of New Delhi. Admission 2022-23 is in process for various UG & PG programs offered in different specialisations. Admission is given on the basis of NEET UG & NEET PG scores and counselling of NEET Assam state.

Jorhat was selected as a site for a new Medical college to bring advanced and state-of-the-art medical education and tertiary health care facilities to middle Assam. The college also caters to the healthcare needs of the neighbouring 4 districts of Sibsagar, Karbi Anglong, Golaghat, and Lakhimpur. It will also help the patients from the neighbouring states of India namely Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.

Jorhat Medical College admission 2022-23 is in process. Admissions at Jorhat Medical College are entrance-based only. The students must show their valid scorecards of previous qualifying examinations and entrance exams to get access to the college. Jorhat Medical College cutoff 2022-23 will be released soon. The authority decides on the cutoff after considering various factors of the Jorhat Medical College entrance examination. The seat allotment is completely based on the NEET UG & NEET PG cutoff and exam merit list. The candidates who score above the NEET cutoff are eligible for NEET counselling for admission to JMC Jorhat. Students who meet the cutoff will be considered for counselling and for the seat allotment process.
