We have 3 classes everyday. Besides this, I have practicals after classes. Projects, assignments are given in the last year of the course. Quality and method of teaching are very good. We have highly qualified teachers here. Overall experience in this college is very good.
Yes, there is an election every year to elect the members of Students Union. Other students associations like AASU, SFI is also active on the college. No festival is conducted. My college life is good.

Jagannath Barooah College, briefly J. B. College is a premier institute of higher education located in Jorhat, a city with rich cultural heritage and glorious historical background in the upper part of the Brahmaputra Valley of Assam. Since its inception in 1930, the college has already marched a long way and has celebrated its “Platinum Jubilee”in the year 2005. The institute has already been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in 2003 and awarded B+ grade on the basis of its performance in the field of higher education.
The post-graduate (PG) courses in Geography and Philosophy were opened in 1995 and 1996 respectively. The new century began with the opening of the PG courses in other branches viz. Assamese, Economics, History, Mathematics, Political Science and Sociology under the Distance Education Scheme of Dibrugarh University.
