Gireesh P R is heading the Training and Placement cell.
He worked 6 years, in HR Division, in IT Top companies including consultancy services for IT, ITES, Manufacturing, Pharma and Construction. He has experience in hiring qualified professionals for MNCs like Accenture, DuPont, ITC ,IBM,TCS ,WIPRO, Genpact, Dr.Reddy’s labs, HCL technologies etc., 

Objective:
The main objective of training and Placement cell at Joginpally B.R Engineering College is to provide personal and career related support to the students with special emphasis on training the students on employability skills and ultimately provide placement in various Industries/Organizations/MNCs by arranging campus recruitment drives.

Soft Skills Program 
Activities of the Cell:
• To arrange training for the students in soft skills. For this we have allotted 2 hours per week for each section from second year onwards to cover communication skills and Analytical Skills.
 • To arrange Expert Lectures from out side institutions to train on Employability Skills. 
 • Arrange workshops on GD and Interview Skills.
 • Intract with various Industries and establish MOU’s for Recruitment Drives and also for conducting Seminars to make the students aware of the Latest Trends in various areas.
 • To arrange before each recruitment drive a company/specific training session to make the students concentrate on the specific skills required for that Industry.
• After completion of each recruitment drive, a feedback session for all the students so as to analyze and make the students aware of the reasons for not getting selected.

Institute for Electronic Governance - IEG

The Institute for Electronic Governance(IEG) is a non- profit organization created by Government of Andhra Pradesh, to offer solutions  in the discourse of human resources by bringing synergy among the institutions of the government, industry and academia. The main objective is to offer quality human resource and services to IT and ITES sectors.

In recognition of the potential role to be played in e- Governance, human resources development and promotion of IT industry, the Andhra Pradesh Government in its ICT policy for the next five years (2005-2010) assigned a prominent role to IEG and its various programs.

To forge a seamless integration among government, academia and industry, to attain prosperous eco-conscious knowledge society of skilled and empowered students. 

INFOSYS CAMPUS CONNECT
A program designed by IEG and Infosys for building students foundational skills with modules relating to technical, problem solving and soft skills to cater the industry needs.

SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMM

The program is the joint effort between Government of Andhra Pradesh, Infosys, Institute for Electronic Governance, Jawahar Knowledge Centers and JNTU. This program is created to provide opportunities to SC, ST, BC and Minority students in the IT sector
