The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, J&K has been established through Act No. XVIII of 2005 dated: 7th November 2005 passed by J&K State Legislature and notified by the State Government, through the Jammu & Kashmir Government. This leading university has an excellent infrastructure and provides its students with all the modern amenities.

The University is 28 km away from the capital and the campus is surrounded by almond groves on one side and the Jehlum River on the other side. Islamic University of Science and Technology Admission is based on the scores of the University and other national exams.

Islamic University of Science and Technology was founded in the year 2005 and the teaching program was started in 2006. The University is located in Awantipora, a small town situated on the main National Highway (NH-44) in Kashmir, approximately 30 km south of the capital city of Srinagar.

• The tuition fee structure for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and M.Sc (Physics and chemistry) is INR 31,000.
• For the Integrated MBA program, the fee structure is INR 25,000.
• For MCA, M.Sc. (IT), and M.A(Journalism, International Relations) the fee structure is INR 24,000.

The University has a training and placement cell which helps the students with placement related activities. The Islamic University of Science and Technology Placement cell maintains well-established relationships with industries like Practo, Colgate Palmolive, Bajaj Electrical, Redington, Wipro CCLG, RBS, WNS, and many more. The cell develops relevant skills which help the students to perform well in the placements. The training and placement cell prepares the students for interviews.

The IUST has a fleet of buses on different routes like Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Tral for students and staff. The University has banking facilities for the students to deposit fees, there are also online banking facilities. They have their own Health Care Unit which has qualified doctors and para-medical staff to look after the students and employees within the campus. The Health Centre also conducts free health check-ups for students and staff. The University provides facilities and opportunities to students for the development of personality and leadership qualities through various sports and extracurricular activities. The Library is equipped with sufficient books to help students to excel in their studies. The library also has a browsing center with about 50 computer terminals to access resources online.

Islamic University of Science and Technology offers five disciplines in many courses in their college, each course has different eligibility criteria to get admission. Eligibility criteria for each course are mentioned below:

Islamic University of Science and Technology Admissions:

Application forms are issued online on the college website. The University selects students on the basis of merit and scores from various National level exam and IUST exam. The selection list will be displayed on the official college website. The student must pay the fee once the provisional admission list is out and the final selection list is done by the Selection Committee.

Islamic University of Science and Technology Cutoffs:

The cutoffs at the University is evaluated on various factors, such as :

• The vacancy of seats for the particular course
• The difficulty level of the question paper/ competitive examination
• The average marks scored by students in the competitive examination/ Higher Secondary examination
• The number of people who have passed in the competitive examination/Higher Secondary Examination

Islamic University of Science and Technology Hostel Details:

IUST has a separate hostel facility for boys and girls where there are two blocks for girls and three for boys. The rooms are spacious and maintained in a hygienic manner. There are power backup 24x7 and ample water supply.
