IIT Dhanbad Selection Process 2025

The IIT Dhanbad selection process is different for every course. Candidates will be shortlisted for the final selection in their desired course based on the following:

1. B.Tech and B.Tech+M.Tech selection procedure is based on scores of valid JEE Advanced, which is then followed by JoSAA counseling.
2. For admission to the MBA program, the institute considers the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and CAT scores. Students then appear for the Writing Ability Test and personal interview. IIT Dhanbad also considers gender, employment experience, academic diversity, and prior academic performance.
3. A valid IIT JAM score is the basis for the final selection for the M.Sc. program, which is then followed by IIT JAM counseling.
4. Candidates for M.Tech programs will be shortlisted based on their GATE scores, and CCMT counseling.
5. A valid CSIR-NET, UGC-NET, or GATE score is required for the PhD selection process following a personal interview
