    The course fee is around INR 1 lakh per year. Scholarships are available for the students having a family income less than INR 5 lakh.

    • The Course Fees at Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT (ISM)] Dhanbad are nominal and provides Govt. Aid for Economically Backwards individuals.
    • Many types of scholarship are available based on Merit, Sports and for outstanding achievements in other fields.
    • About 75 out of 100 students avail scholarship opportunities every year.
    • No loan is required as the Course fee is about Rs 40,000 in a year.
      But Loans can be availed if necessary.

    FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:
    • Course fee in Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT (ISM)] Dhanbad is Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per annum. The course fees are very less compared to other colleges.
    • A wide range of scholarship options is available.
    • Around 7-10 students get scholarships.
    • I think loans are not needed. Even if needed, they will be readily provided by SBI(campus branch) and any other bank.

    Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad (abbreviated as IIT (ISM), Dhanbad) was established in 1926 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in the country with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. In 1967 it was granted the status of a deemed to be university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. The institution started to impart mining education and has graduated into a full-fledged technical institution of international acclaim offering a host of programs. The School has links with reputed universities and institutes across the globe and has an alumni base all over the world. The School today is making foray into the newer areas of academic endeavours in tune with the changing times.

    Indian School of Mines, popularly known as ISM Dhanbad, is well known for courses in Mining education.
