Department of Management Studies Eligibility Criteria: 

The courses offered by the department have their own set of eligibility criteria. The courses along with their eligibility are given below:

MBA	The candidate must be a graduate (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a  University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first-class or having 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 (55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 for SC/ST/PD). The candidate must have a valid CAT score.
MBA (BA)	The candidate must have a B.Tech degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA (55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD) will be eligible for the program.  The candidate must have a valid CAT score.
M.Tech	The candidates must have a graduate degree in engineering or an equivalent master's degree in science. Candidates must have scored 60% marks (55% for reserved category).  Candidates should have a valid GATE score.

Department of Management Studies Admission: 

Candidates can apply online for DMS ISM admission. The admission to the department is based on the qualifying score in the following examinations:

• For MBA admission, candidates must have a valid score in the CAT exam.
• For M.Tech admission, candidates must have a valid score in the GATE exam. 

Department of Management Studies Hostel Details: 

Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad has 12 hostel buildings, seven for boys, four for girls, and one for international students. More than 8000 students are accommodated in these hostels. Every hostel has spacious twin sharing rooms. The hostel fee (including mess fee) is INR 15,000 per semester.
