  • The placements of Indian Maritime University are not very good currently as the shipping industry being at loss. Overall the placement in this field is good. Most of the students usually get a job on campus or off campus. After graduation from BSC in nautical science or marine engineering, the candidate needs to go through a one-year sea training on board the ship.
  • This training is a stipend and the candidate gets around $500-$1000 per month.
  • As IMU being a new university the alumni network is not that vast but there are certain graduates working in top shipping companies or serving the country in the armed forces.
