Lecture Halls: A lecture hall complex with four 250-seat lecture rooms, a 1500-seat auditorium with a state of the art sound system, a smaller mini-auditorium, and a conference complex with four conference halls provide space for teaching and organising various events. Classes take place in lecture halls or smaller classrooms scattered around the academic campus. Individual departments have their own instructional laboratories.
Library: One of the institute's most important central facilities, the LakshminathBezbaroa Central Library, is a portal to the latest information in the sciences, engineering, technology, humanities, and social sciences. The IIT Guwahati library provides the required support for the teaching, learning, and research operations by providing the latest services to the academic community.
Computer Centre: The IIT Guwahati has a computer centre that is open 24 hours a day, and students come here to complete their computing assignments. For first-year B.Tech students, most departments do computer programming practicals in the centre. A campus-wide network on a Gigabit Ethernet backbone with access points in every hostel room, an internal EPABX, high-capacity internet connections, etc.
Sports Complex: The IIT Guwahati infrastructure has a sports complex that includes an indoor sports stadium with synthetic badminton, table tennis, and squash courts, a gymnasium, students gymkhana office, and an 8-lane 50-meter swimming pool and flood-lit playing fields for all major outdoor sports, offers plenty of opportunities for recreation for campus residents.
Hostel: There are eleven boys and two girls hostels. The room is only for one person. The IIT Guwahati hostel has its own mess, canteen, stationery store, juice centre, pantry, indoor games facilities, gymnasium, music rooms, library, TV room, and laundry room, among other amenities. In every room, high-speed LAN connections are available. Outdoor games such as volleyball, basketball, and football are also available. The institute has offered hostel rooms on campus to all of its students.

A mesmerising campus with all the modern facilities. Academic area is blessed with free high speed wi-fi network. A huge library with books from each and every field. A computer centre with free internet facility. Transportation service is very good here. Nearly every hour we have buses that leads us to the city.

There are 11 hostels in totak with 2 hostels for girls. Hostel fee is Rs.3400 per semester. Food quality is average and costs around Rs 40 per meal. Other infrastructure facilities are up to the mark.
