IIM Kozhikode PhD is a full-time research-based course. The course is offered for a duration of 3 to 5 years. The course is offered in two streams: Doctoral Program in Management and Doctoral Programme in Management (Practice Track). Both the streams offer specializations in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting and Control, Strategic Management, Quantitative Methods & Operations Management and Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources.

IIM Kozhikode PhD admission to the doctoral program in respective subjects is done through entrance exams like GMAT/ GRE/ GATE/ UGC-NET/CSIR JRF. This is followed by Research Proposal and Personal Interview.

IIM Kozhikode PhD Eligibility Criteria

IIM Kozhikode PhD eligibility criteria include a Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma (2-year) with at least 60% marks. Students who have completed CA or CS/ICWA with a B.Com degree and have scored an aggregate of 55% can also apply for admission. Similarly, students who have completed their B.Tech with a CGPA of 6.5 are eligible for application.

IIM Kozhikode PhD Admission 

IIIM Kozhikode PhD admission will start with entrance exams like CAT/ GMAT/ GRE or JRF. The subjects of JRF-NET depend on the subject of choice for the doctoral courses. The submission of the application is followed by Research Proposal and Personal Interview. Candidates who have completed the full-time two-year PGDM program in any IIMs or Executive PGDM from IIM Kozhikode need not appear for qualifying exams.

IIM Kozhikode PhD Fees 

IIM Kozhikode PhD course is a 3-year doctoral program offered to students. This course is offered in various specializations too. However, there is no tuition fee for PhD courses. IIM Kozhikode offers a stipend of INR 35,000 to all doctoral candidates. This amount, however, increases to INR 40,000 per month depending on their academic performance.

Additionally, each student is eligible for a Contingency Grant of INR 1.20 Lakhs, which can be used to pay for books and computers, conduct field research, and attend academic conferences. The students are also eligible for a grant of INR 1.75 Lakhs for attending an international conference and a grant of INR 20,000 is given for attending national conferences.
