  • Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode takes CAT scores as qualification criteria. It first declares an initial shortlist which includes everyone who has scored above a certain percentile in CAT. The initial shortlist candidates are required to fill in their academic details and discipline. IIM Kozhikode then declares another shortlist based on these criteria plus CAT score with different weights to components. The shortlisted students are required to go through written aptitude test followed by group discussion and interview. Each of these has different weights in final selection along with CAT score.

Admission
  • Eligibility criteria for IIM is a bachelor's degree in any discipline, although around 80-85% of the students who actually made it in here are engineers, from primarily IITs, NITs, etc My batch(2016-18) also has CAs, Doctors, commerce graduates and other students from other backgrounds as well.
  • Entrance Exam is for getting into IIM is the CAT exam. It takes place during October and November every year.
  • Cutoffs in IIM are typically to score 98 percentile and above in CAT and then wait for an interview call from IIM. But weightage is given to attributes to like work experience, academic diversity, gender diversity etc. Huge weightage is attributed to the interview process(around 40-60%, on a dynamic basis every year ).
