PGP FABM Details

IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM is a full-time two-year postgraduate program. The course started as a special program in agriculture in 1974 and progressed into a 2-year course. It is a sector-specific programme that aims to build strong, dedicated men and women into the leaders and decision-makers of the future in the agricultural, rural, developmental, and related industries. 

Admission to IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM is based on the valid scores for CAT. The entrance exam of CAT is conducted once every year. For CAT 2023, the registrations began on August 2, 2023. The exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Students of foreign nationality can apply through GMAT. Registration for GMAT will begin in August 2023.

IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM Eligibility Criteria

IIM Ahmedabad PGP eligibility criteria include a bachelor's degree and a valid score in CAT. In 2022, the IIM removed the minimum required percentage due to COVID. As of now, new guidelines have not been released for this course.

Applicants with foreign passports living in India and a background in food and agriculture can apply through GMAT. 

IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM Admission

For IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM admission 2023, a CAT or GMAT score is required. A selection list is created for students based on CAT/GMAT results. These selected students are then called for an Analytical Writing Test and a personal interview.

For IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM, 65% of the weightage will be given to the CAT scores, and 35% will be given to the application rating score. Candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in agricultural sciences or a discipline connected to agriculture will be preferred during short-listing for the analytical writing test and personal interview because the programme is sector-specific and prioritises candidates with suitable educational backgrounds.

Application Procedure

IIM Ahmedabad PGP-FABM application procedure includes registering for CAT and choosing the course as an option. Students must carefully study the admission announcements and requirements before applying to the PGP program. The steps to apply are given below:

• Visit the CAT registration website.
• Register for the entrance exam by using your contact information. 
• Fill in the application form.
• Pay the application fees
• Take a copy of the application form and fee receipt.

Once the result is announced, selected students will be called upon for AWT and personal interviews by IIM Ahmedabad directly.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad PGP-FABM course is for 2 years. For the batch of 2022-24, the total fee for the course is INR 24.61 Lakhs. It includes a tuition fee of INR 18.19 Lakhs.
