IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships by the Institute

IIM Ahmedabad offers various scholarships based on merit and societal conditions. The details of the scholarship for IIM students are mentioned below.

Need-Based Scholarship

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad scholarship is offered to students based on their financial needs and background. Students with a family income less than INR 15 LPA are eligible for the scholarship. In addition, students also need to provide proof of income, past earnings of students (if any), and educational loan details.

SC/ST Scholarship

In this IIM Ahmedabad scholarship, students are paid INR 150 per month for a duration of 10 months.

Exit Scholarships

• IIM Ahmedabad offers a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 to two students for three years who decide to pursue entrepreneurship. Additionally, the students must opt out of the IIM Ahmedabad placement procedure.
• IIMA encourages students to take up jobs in NGOs and Non-Profit organisations. The institute offers to pay a sum of INR 3 to 4 Lakhs per year per student to help students pay for their educational loans.
• IIM Ahmedabad scholarship is offered to students as financial assistance if they pursue doctoral studies post-graduation. An amount of INR 3 to 4 Lakhs per year per student is offered for three consecutive years as financial aid.

IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships by Corporate Industries

The various scholarships offered by different corporate organisations are listed below.

Aditya Birla Scholarship

Aditya Birla Group offers merit scholarships worth INR 1.75 Lakhs to three students at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The company entirely selects the students.

Dunia Scholarship

 An amount of INR 1 Lakh is offered as a merit scholarship to selected students by Dunia Finance, LLC of Dubai, UAE.

OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship

An amount of INR 1.15 Lakhs is offered to selected students by OP Jindal Group after a rigorous process of personal interviews and online aptitude tests. The students eligible for this IIMA scholarship are selected based on their academic performance.

T. Thomas Scholarship

This IIM Ahmedabad scholarship is offered to students based on merit by HUL. Students in the second year of the course are eligible for this scholarship. 

IIM Ahmedabad Scholarship Criteria

The criteria for the IIM Ahmedabad Scholarship 2026 awarded to students are mentioned below.

• The decision of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad scholarship committee shall be final. Students and applicants cannot challenge the decision of the committee.
• The scholarship committee reserves the right to cancel or withdraw a student’s scholarship in case of misconduct, violation of disciplinary norms or false information in the scholarship applications.
• A student shall be eligible for only one type of scholarship/concession in a given academic semester or year. An exception can be considered if the IIMA scholarship sponsors approve the same.
• The scholarship amount should not exceed the yearly expenses for the PGP course, including tuition fees, accommodation, and personal expenses (up to INR 30,000 per year). 
• Students must not violate any code of discipline or conduct.
• Students must maintain a minimum grade and attendance as decided by the college authorities to keep their IIM Ahmedabad scholarships.
• Students are required to inform the IIM Ahmedabad Admissions Office in case they receive any scholarship or financial aid from any other source other than the institute.
• IIM Ahmedabad reserves the right to terminate a student’s scholarship without prior notice.
