College timing is morning 9:10 - 3:10 Every week projects & assignments will be given to the students. The quality of teaching is OK but it enough to get good marks. Ya first I don't like the college but now a day I like and love it so much.

The college has the students council and they deal with the students' affairs. And the inter-college and intra college competition is held the year and on our cultural, more than 990 students from other college participate. Ya, I'm planning to get into council and think it's going to be so fun.

About Hindustan College of Arts and Science, [HCAS] Chennai

Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust was founded in the year 1992 by the eminent Industrialist and Philanthropist, Shri T.S.R Khannaiyann. The Trust is being managed by the Secretary, Smt. Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann, Joint Secretary Smt. Priya Satish Prabu and Trustee Shri.K.Sakthivel Raja.  Since its inception the Trust has involved itself in benevolent activities for inculcating quality education by promoting various types of Educational Institutions. 

Hindusthan College of Arts & Science pursues a philosophy of perpetual acquisition of knowledge.  Apart from academic curriculum, equally important is the policy to provide value based education and to bring out the hidden potential in students that equip them to approach life with optimism.  The main motive of the Hindusthan Trust is to serve the needy.  The Trust adopts poor children and offers free education.  It also offers assistance and guidance pertaining to higher studies.  The Trust also helps them to earn a living.  The Trust motivates the rankholders and toppers by providing financial assistance.

The College was awarded ISO 9001: 2008 certification in the academic year 2010-2011. It has well equipped laboratories for Electronics and Communication Science, Computer Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Entomology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Multimedia, Web Designing, Audiography, Television Production & Editing, Drawing & Graphic Design and Photography

It is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu G.O. Ms. No. 592, dated 24/07/1995, and it is affiliated to the University of Madras to conduct job oriented degree courses.

It was with the definite aim of establishing a Centre of Excellence in Applied Sciences and Arts, that HETC Educational Society started Hindustan College of Arts & Science in 1995. Hindustan College of Arts & Science offers seventeen Under Graduate and six Post Graduate courses and one M.Phil Programme.

The Library offers a full spectrum of resources from the books that support the curriculum to a rapidly expanding network of digital materials, along with cutting edge Library and Information Services for students and faculty. The holdings of the library include more than 14,966 core books together with a large number of journals and magazines. Free access to the Internet, full access to online resources and wide range of database is also provided.
