Guru Nanak College of Arts, Commerce and Science was established by the Sikh Society of Guru Nayak Vidya Society in 1989 in Guidance by the principles of purity, truth, charity and peace. The basic aim of the College is to create free spirited minds that are embedded with the jewel of love for humanity. This is what is considered as the true teaching of the Sikh Supreme Guru Nanak. The vision of the college is to make its students globally competent. Therefore, the college stresses upon quality education as a continuous year-round process because they consider that the college is holding responsibility of not only the students, their parents, the faculty and other stakeholders, but also for the society. They believe in inclusive growth and wider participation.
