The Government College of Engineering, Salem, established in 1966, is an engineering education centre in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the three institutions offering Metallurgical Engineering as a full-time course in Tamil Nadu.
GCE offers Masters of Engineering in Structural Engineering, Mechanical (Thermal Engineering), Electrical and Electronics (Power Electronics & Drives) and Metallurgy. Part-time B.E. courses are also offered in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronical Engineering and Electrical and Communication Engineering.
