Entrance Exams & Admissions : Goa University has 30 seats for the Masters course in Zoology. Around 15 seats are for the general category and the rest are reserved. 2 seats amongst these are reserved for students from other state universities. After the undergraduate results are declared, the admission notice is introduced on the University website www.unigoa.ac.in. Applicants are required to fill in their details and submit the application forms online after which a merit list is prepared within a week or so. Minimum percentage for application is 50%. The cutoff for general category for the last two academic years was around 70%. Usually, 2 or 3 merit lists are subsequently out depending on the number of seats filled. There is no entrance exam for the subject of Zoology and the merit list is purely based on the marks obtained in the undergraduate exam (semester 5 and 6).
