GHG College of Nursing, Ludhiana was established in 1998 with aim to fulfill the deficiency of highly competent professional and employment oriented education in various aspects of Nursing Sciences & Research. The college is approved by Punjab Nursing Registration Council (PNRC), Chandigarh and Indian Nursing Council (INC), Delhi. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. 
 
The College is Committed to produce global Nursing professional to meet the great challenges of the service in the field of Nursing. The college believes that the professional Nursing is a lifelong service to the people and Nursing must advance along with other professions if the society is to be assured of a balanced health care programme. Admission Requirements :-

Basic B.Sc. Nursing :-

Intake: 50

Mode of Admission: Direct / Through Entrance Exam by University

  • Admissions available for Girls only.
  • Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility:

  1. Pass in (10+2) or passed any other examination conducted by boards/councils/Intermediate Education established by state Govt./Central Govt. with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects. 
  2. Passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) taken together in the qualifying examination.
  3. Candidates belonging to SC, ST or other Backward classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in qualifying examination be not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
  4. Completes 17 yrs. of age at the time of admission. 

Programme Duration: 

Four years covering intensive theory classes and internship attending towards for observation and supervised practice.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing :-

Admission Requirements

Intake: 20 (All Management Seats)

Mode of Admission: Direct

  • Admissions available for Girls only.
  • Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility:

  1. hold a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
  2. be a registered nurse.
  3. have working knowledge of English
  4. be medically fit.
  5. have good personal and professional record.

Age: No Candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shall be eligible.

Programme Duration:

Two academic years from the date of commencement of the program. Terms and vacations shall be as notified by the university from time to time.

Note: The Candidate should have minimum 80% attendance in theory and 100% attendance in practical's in each subject to appear for the University examination.

M.Sc. Nursing :-

Admission Requirements

INTAKE: 10 seats

Specialty Areas:

  1. Medical-Surgical Nursing - 2 seats
  2. Pediatric Nursing - 2 seats
  3. Community Health Nursing - 2 seats
  4. Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing - 2 seats
  5. Psychiatric Nursing - 2 seats

Mode of Admission: Through Entrance Test by University / DIRECT

Admissions available for Girls only.

Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility:

  1. Passed in BSc Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Post Certificate BSc Nursing of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot or any other University accepted as equivalent by BFUHS and must have obtained a minimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks. In respect of candidates belonging to SC and ST, the aggregate marks obtained be not less than 50% instead of 55% as above.
  2. Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or minimum of one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing, in a hospital or in Nursing Educational Institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  3. Registered in any State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
  4. Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate from baba Farid University of health Sciences FARIDKOT., (This applies to only the candidates who have passed from other universities).
  5. Candidate shall be medically fit.

Age: For General Category, it is 48 years and for SC/ST candidates, it is 50 years at the time of admission.

Programme Duration:

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) :-

Admission Requirements

Intake: 60

Mode of Admission: Direct

Admissions available for Girls Only.

Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility:

  • Pass in (10 + 2) with 40% aggregate marks in any stream from recognized Board.
  • In Case of SC/ ST, the aggregate marks obtainable be not less then 35% Instead of 40% in 10+2.
  • Students shall be medically fit.
  • Minimum age 17 years, Maximum age 35 years.

Programme Duration:

Three Years & Six Months covering intensive theory classes, attending towards for observation and supervised practice. 

ANM (Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife)

Admission Requirements

Intake: 35

Mode of Admission: Direct

Admissions available for Girls Only.

Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility:

(a)  Matric Pass from Recognized Board.

(b) Minimum Age 16 years maximum Age 35 years.

Programme Duration:

One Years & Six Months.
