College life, in general, it is good, those who want to study they can study and those who want to bunk they can bunk, its all depends on the student
I am not a hostel student so I don't know much about this and classrooms are ok labs and libraries are also ok but the infrastructure is good
Timing morning 6 am to 2.30 pm and its all depends on lectures, quality is good poor they teach in Hindi or Marathi. The collrge is good and some staff are good.
Its cost around 7000Rs per year because it is the govt college, actually I don't know much about the scholarship system in our college.
Till now no internship I have done, no company has visited the college yet for my course.
Through 12th class merit, cut of was 85% in 12th class, there was no entrance exam for this course. It was purely on the merit base so accordingly, I got this course.
Most of the competitions and programs are conducted by degree college student. Our college has numerous sports teams.
Our college offers housing only for boys, therefore I am not aware of the fees and such. The canteen food is good and affordable for all students. The reading hall is very convenient.
The practicals and lectures are conducted well. The computer science teachers are exceptionally helpful. The labs are always well stocked.
As computer science requires the use of expensive equipment, the fees are higher than average. The course fee is about INR 8000/- for the entire academic year.
I am aware of the excellent opportunities offered by our college, both for job placements and internship opportunities.
The admission procedure at DG Ruparel College was very well organised. We had to apply for various colleges through an online government portal. As I have opted for Bifocal Science stream (Computer Science) the cutoff was quite high. The admission results were posted online at a pre-determined date.
There is the annual day of which is awesome and there are events of each department. College Life is awesome.
I don't know much about hostel but there is hostel facility for boys in the campus. Food in college is nice. And the cast is reasonable. The facility is all good. Infrastructure is also good with the huge campus.
Class timings are 7 am to 12:15 pm max. Teaching is more than average. Experience of college was good.
Fees differ on bases of caste and fees as per Mumbai university. Free ships are available for SC, ST, and OBC. No need for loans.
Some company visits the campus for the interview and no specific criteria anyone can apply for an interview.
Eligibility criteria for B.Com were min 80% in 12th if taking admission after completing HSC and no different procedure was followed. All as per the Mumbai University.
No Internship opportunities as College doesn't have an active Placement Cell. But still for the Placements are good for Undergraduate students as Companies like Imarictus MDP, L and T, ICICI Bank is regular recruiters.
Cut off generally ranges from 90%-80% to Commerce students and 95%-87% for Science students.
The overall experience in the college is excellent.
I haven't done any internship. Major companies come for the recruitment in my college.
The candidates must pass 12 std or equivalent with good grades to get the admissions.
