Entrance Exams & Admissions : The college of engineering and management takes students on the basis of JEE mains and WB JEE The eligibility criteria to get in this institute is around starting at 6000 ranks . The admission can also be taken directly . I took the WBJEE to get into this college . The cut off for mechanical is generally rank up to 30000 .  

Placements & Internships : The placement is good in College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat .  We were provided the opportunity to do the internship in the solar system setting up in our college only. The key companies that come for recruitment are TCS ,INFOSYS , TECH- MAHINDRA etc. The salary offered is around 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs . The alumni network of this college is very strong. 

Fees & Scholarships : The fee in this college is very low as compared to other colleges  . In 1 lakh per year, you can pay tuition fee along with the hostel and mess charges . The scholarship is also provided in the college as per various schemes . The average number of students getting the scholarship is around 100 . Generally, loans are not needed but if needed it is available very easily as it is a government aided institute .

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The hostels are huge and can accommodate all the students easily. The hostel fee is very low; around Rs.900 rupees per 3 months. The PGs outside the college costs more. The food provided is not so good but the variety is there. If you are a non-vegetarian, it is good for you. The quality of labs, classrooms, and library are excellent. The college campus is wifi enabled and a lan connection is provided in the hostels .

Clubs & Associations : The student societies are cultural , sports , photography , drama etc. The main festivals in the campus is Saraswati puja and Vishwakarma puja . In general, the college life is very good it is a kind of college you should be in .
